Hi guys! You know there’s something about a trip that mixes proud parent moments with pure theme park magic that just hits different. Our trip to Universal Studios Hollywood was the perfect combination of hard work, celebration, family time, and FUN and I already can’t wait to go back.

We were in town for my daughter’s gymnastics competition, and watching her compete out of town for such a big competition for the first time was such a proud parent moment. All the long practices, the dedication, the early mornings seeing her out there doing what she loves made the entire trip worth it. Once competition day wrapped, it was time to celebrate.

The next day we headed to the park with my husband, my best friend Christina, and her kids Cam and Addy. It was the perfect crew. There’s something about doing a theme park with family and close friends that makes everything louder, funnier, and just more memorable.
We met characters like Fiona from Shrek and of course the Minions from Despicable Me. The kids were so excited, and honestly… so were we. Those character moments never get old.

Super Nintendo World was definitely a highlight. Walking into that colorful world felt like stepping straight into a video game. We rode Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, and it was such an interactive, crazy experience. We also went on Transformers: The Ride-3D, which is always intense in the best way. Riley hated it though so never again.

But The Wizarding World of Harry Potter? That was next level. Entering The Wizarding World of Harry Potter felt surreal. It truly looks like you’ve stepped into the movies. We rode Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best rides I’ve ever been on. The 3D effects, the way the ride moves, the details it was incredible.

After experiencing it all again, I’m gonna start rewatching the Harry Potter movies with Aria. and I understand and appreciate everything so much more now. Seeing it come to life in the park makes the story hit differently.

Of course we ate all the junk food (because theme park rules), shopped around Springfield inspired by The Simpsons, and ended the day exploring Universal CityWalk Hollywood. We stopped at Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe for more treats and shopping, which was such a fun way to wrap everything up.

From celebrating my daughter’s hard work to making memories with our whole crew, this trip was everything. Proud parent moments, nonstop laughs, adrenaline from the rides, and way too many snacks the perfect combo.
Universal, we’ll definitely be back. You owe us nothing though 😉
