Hi guys! You know what time it is? Duh it’s time to read all about our latest trip to the happiest place on earth.. well DCA which is kinda almost the same thing right? Right. Anyway this was our first Oogie Boogie Bash was it worth it? Will we go again? Check it out.
Oogie Boogie Bash.
This trip almost didn’t happen like 2-3 times. Between collaborations falling through with a hotel, changing flights, booking a new hotel less than 24 hours before we left it was crazy! Luckily though it was meant to be because we made it! The 5 of us boarded the plane and was in LA in no time.
Things started a little rocky once we landed. Riley screamed the entire 45 min drive to the the hotel. I had to tip the driver pretty nicely.. thanks Riley that’s coming outta your college fund. Then once we got there our room wasn’t ready. We were prepared for this though. We came already dressed and ready to hit the park. So we just left our bags at the front desk of Hojo and we were off!
Once we got there the line was like 160 people long no exaggeration! But it moved so fast and we were through the DCA gates in no time. We got our trick or treat bags, our wrist bands and it was time to have fun. It wasn’t time for Oogie Boogie just yet so we walked around. Trying some delicious foods and shopping. It was a little hot so by this time we decided to go take a one hour rest at our hotel.
After an hour of rest and now changed into our costumes we were off to you know Oogie and boogie!
When we got back at DCA we walked right in no line. Though at first even following the maps we had no idea where to go. We were kinda lost but the cast members helped us find our way. We did the trick or treat trail. Saw some villains like Maleficent, Oscar Dela Cruz, Sid from Toy Story! Omg Sid! This guys needs an Oscar because he was amazing. He was so much fun. Making fun of everyone, joking around. He even stuck his younger out at Ivy. It was hilarious! The costumes were A1! You can tell Disney put a ton of work into them. Dd and the girls rode so many rides Soarin, Incredicoaster twice! Riley and I only got a few Inside Out, carousel, The little mermaid. We didn’t catch the parade because we ended up doing Cozy Cone for dinner which was fine with me because I was so tired by that point. Though I heard the parade was so cool so maybe next time.
Goodbye Oogie Boogie!
We literally jumped back on a plane and went home the next morning. Only staying for one day and one event but.. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Was it hard as hell doing a one day trip with 3 kids? Definitely yes!! Would I do it again? Probably not. Would I do Oogie Boogie again? When the kids are older? Totally. It was a fun experience and I’m glad we got to go and enjoy as a family. A little sad because I don’t know when we’ll be back at Disneyland but until then I’ll keep the magic of this last trip in my heart.
