Hi guys! There’s just something about a grilled cheese that hits differently warm, gooey, and so easy to customize. But if you know me, you know I love trying a fun twist on the classics! Lately, I’ve been obsessed with hot honey, so I had to try it in my grilled cheese and let me tell you, it’s a game changer.
This Hot Honey Grilled Cheese is sweet, spicy, cheesy, and packed with just the right amount of crunch and smoky flavor from real bacon bits. It’s so simple but feels gourmet perfect for lunch, a cozy snack, or a quick weeknight dinner.
Here’s what I used.
- Smash Kitchen Organic Hot Honey: for that spicy-sweet drizzle
- Oroweat Double Fiber Bread: hearty and holds up so well to all the gooey goodness
- Provolone Cheese: melts perfectly and pairs deliciously with the honey
- Hormel Original Real Crumbled Bacon Bits: smoky bits of bacon in every bite

How I Made It.
1. Butter the Bread: Lightly butter the outside of each slice of bread (you can use melted butter with a pinch of parsley).
2. Assemble: Lay down a slice of provolone, sprinkle some bacon bits on top, drizzle a little Smash Kitchen Organic Hot Honey, and add another slice of provolone if you want it extra cheesy. Top with the second slice of bread.
3. Grill: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place your sandwich in the pan and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melty and gooey.
4. Drizzle & Enjoy: Once off the heat, I like to drizzle just a little more hot honey over the top for an extra kick.

Final Bite.
This grilled cheese is the perfect combo of sweet, spicy, savory, and melty. It’s honestly one of my new go-to comfort snacks and it only takes a few minutes to make!
If you try it, let me know I’d love to see your delicious creations. Happy grilling!
