Valentine’s Day is almost here and mini occasion bins are the perfect way to celebrate any small moment in your littles life, whether it’s a good report card, a special holiday, or simply a fun surprise to brighten their day. These little baskets are tailored for toddlers and tweens, making them special and age-appropriate while staying budget-friendly. Today we’re making Valentine’s Day bins, although this blog post can be applied to any holiday.
Tips for creating a mini occasions bin.
1.Shop Seasonal Sections: The Target Dollar Spot and Michael’s clearance sections are gold mines for small, affordable items. Keep an eye out for sales, especially during the holiday seasons.
2.Mix Practical with Fun: Include practical items like socks or cups along with toys or candy. This balance makes the basket useful and exciting for kids. It’s also great for you so there’s not a lot of junk around the house.
3.Set a Budget: Decide ahead of time how much you want to spend per basket. This helps you prioritize what goes in while avoiding overspending. Keep in mind you don’t have to spend a lot of money when you create these.I typically try to keep ALL three baskets under a total $30!
