Hi friends! So it’s official we did a thing! We welcomed a new member to our family a little furry puppy boy. He goes by the name of Kobe Carr. Well, Kobe Karson Carr to be exact. We collectively agreed upon the name Kobe, yes Kobe as the late great basketball player. Aria decided to give him the middle name Karson, we have no idea why but it was cute so we allowed it. Then his last name Carr of course self-explanatory.
A few months ago while doing some research online about dogs I came across a local website for Yorkshire Terriers (Yorkies). Back in 2011 before the kids were born we actually had a Yorkie named Marley. If you were following me on Instagram back then you may remember. So I knew when we made the decision to get a dog for the girls a Yorkie would be perfect. I began to check out the site and was immediately impressed with the owner Alisa. I discovered that Alisa had been breeding Yorkies since 2015 and was super knowledgeable. Not only does she breed them but when you purchase a Yorkie from her they come with the following.
“Veterinarian current on vaccine, deworming, tail docked, dew claw removed and six months written health genetic guarantee. Also bed, blanket with mommy’s scent, toys, treats, vitamin syrupy, and some current puppy’s food.”
Plus did I mentioned they come potty trained?! Sold! I reached out to Alisa and she was the sweetest person ever. She informed me that her litter had not been born yet but she would get back to me in a few months. Time flew and next thing I know Alisa sent me a photo of Kobe, I instantly fell in love. This tiny spotted puppy was the cutest thing I ever saw and he was ours. Of course, Kobe couldn’t come home right away because he was only a baby. So keeping the secret from Ivy and Aria for months. It was so hard but it was worth it.
The morning we went to pick up Kobe we arrived at Alisa’s house and blindfolded the girls. When the blindfolds came off the girls literally screamed. They were so excited. I will be posting the video to their Youtube a little later. Our hearts were full. Ivy and Aria have been asking for a puppy for 2 years now so we are so happy we could finally make this happen. It’s been a week now and we are adjusting to life with the newest member of our family. We are so excited to see what the future hold and we are more than happy to take any helpful tips and tricks you have for us.
