Hi guys! Guess what? Me and Ivy took a little just us trip to Las Vegas to celebrate her making honor roll, you know I wanted to do something really special for her. It’s not everyday your first born graduates and makes honor roll. But let me tell you all about our trip!
Hello Las Vegas!
We took the earliest flight out, and as soon as we landed I made a very important first stop: Coffee Bean. I got us some blended drinks because I don’t let her have coffee often, but for a special occasion? Absolutely! Why not?
After that, we headed to the Bellagio and walked through their Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. It was so pretty in there with all the flowers, seasonal displays, and animal sculptures. We took our time looking around taking photos and just enjoying it before heading across to New York-New York.
While we were over there, we found an anime store, and of course Ivy had to look around. I also randomly played a slot machine and lost $5 immediately, so that was fun.. sike! But she got to pick out some cool anime action figures she liked, which made it worth it. We also made a quick Target stop where all I bought was hand sanitizer, and then it was finally time for the main event: Hello Kitty Cafe.

We were literally first in line, which is why we had been out walking around and killing time all morning. Finally, it was time for the main thing we came for. Once we got in, we ordered the cutest little treats. We tried the Hello Kitty apple pastry, a My Melody cupcake, a lavender lemonade, and one of their pink frozen drink (see more on insta here). Everything was so cute, and honestly it was such a fun little mom and daughter stop. Ivy loved it, and it definitely felt like one of the highlights of our day.
Rollercoaster, food & beyond.
After Hello Kitty Cafe, we spent some time walking the Strip, sightseeing, and just enjoying the day together. Then we made our way back to New York-New York so Ivy could ride the roller coaster. I hate roller coasters, but she really wanted to do it, so I sucked it up and went with her. For the record, I survived screaming for my mommy and all.
Later we went to Sugar Factory for food. The actual food wasn’t my favorite, but the dessert was so good, so I’ll give them that. We did a little more walking, found another anime store, and Ivy picked out two more action figures and was so extra happy. By then it was pretty much time to head out the heat, so we grabbed a Lyft to the airport and caught our flight back home.
It was hot, we were tired, and we packed a lot into one day, but it was such a fun little trip. I loved getting to celebrate Ivy and spend that one on one time with her, and I already can’t wait to do another mommy daughter trip. Though I hope this is one of those trips she always remembers and holds in her little heart. I love you Ivy!
