Hi guys! Wouldn’t you know that sometimes the simplest days turn into the sweetest memories.

We decided last minute to drive up to Apple Hill for a little snow day, and I’m so glad we did. There was so much snow up there after a week of rain in our city. Way more than I expected. Nothing planned, nothing fancy. We literally just found a small open spot behind a restaurant where a few other families were playing and made it our little snow zone for the day.

We definitely weren’t fully prepared. No proper snow clothing, though we did have snow gloves… and we layered up in coats and beanies and made it work. The girls didn’t care one bit. They had their sleds, plenty of snow, and about an hour of pure fun. Sledding, slipping, laughing, throwing tiny snowballs just simple, happy chaos.

After we were completely frozen and our hands had enough, we packed up and grabbed some snacks on the way out. The best part? We filled up a cup of snow and brought it back down the hill to surprise my best friend Christina and her kids. They dumped it out and had a tiny little snowball fight at home, which might have been the cutest ending to the day.

It wasn’t some big, perfectly planned snow adventure. It was short, simple, a little unprepared… and absolutely perfect.
