Hi guys! Last weekend the girls and I took a little girls trip to San Francisco while dad stayed back for work, and it turned out to be the sweetest, most cozy getaway we didn’t know we needed thanks to Acqua Hotel.
To Acqua Hotel we go..
We started our trip at the Bay Area Discovery Museum for their big art weekend, which the kids loved, but the highlight of our stay was checking into the beautiful Acqua Hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with the warmest hospitality and instantly felt at home.

The details.
This hotel truly goes above and beyond. They offer a full hot breakfast buffet with custom espresso drinks (definitely take advantage of that!), a wine and cheese reception at 5, warm cookies at 7, all-day coffee and tea, plus free parking and complimentary bikes. It’s those thoughtful little touches that make such a big difference especially with a family.

Our room.
Our room was adorable and so spacious for all of us, with two queen beds, a shower and bathtub, and EO bath products that made everything feel extra elevated. But the real showstopper was the view overlooking the water… absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful.

Staff + what to do.
We also had the chance to meet some of the amazing staff, including Kristen Marquette, the Director of Sales, who was so kind and gave us the best local recommendations. One of them was Old Mill Park, which ended up being such a magical spot. The towering trees, the fresh air, the girls swinging and exploring… it honestly felt like something out of a movie.
Back at the hotel, the staff pulled out all the stops for the kids with lawn games, and Ivy and I took advantage of the complimentary bikes for a little ride. We also enjoyed the wine and cheese hour (with zero sugar drinks for the girls, of course) before heading out for dinner at Super Duper Burgers, which was the perfect casual stop to end the day.
That night, we came back, got cozy, and lit our real wood-burning fireplace, which made everything feel so warm and relaxing. We slept so good, wrapped in the coziest атмосhere.

The morning after.
The next morning, we woke up to one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in forever. The buffet had so many delicious options, and I’m still thinking about my mocha… it was that good. Sitting there with my girls along side the beautiful glass atrium, sipping coffee, taking it all in, it just felt really special.

100% would recommend.
Everyone we encountered was so friendly, not just the staff but even other guests walking their dogs or riding bikes along the water. It just had such a welcoming, peaceful vibe.
Did I mention it’s only 10 minutes outside of San Francisco? On our way home, we made a quick stop at the Palace of Fine Arts to take some birthday photos for Ivy, which was the perfect way to end our trip.

Thank you Acqua!
I’m just so grateful for this experience and the memories we made together. If you’re looking for a family-friendly stay with the best ambiance and the kindest hospitality, I truly can’t recommend Acqua Hotel enough. We already can’t wait to come back. Thank you Acqua Hotel! We miss you!
