Hi guys!
Do you remember what today is? Well, I’m not going to lie.. I totally didn’t. Today is my little blog’s birthday, and we are 8 years old! It’s been so much going on in my life lately that I definitely spaced, (even though I told myself a million times to add to my calendar) which is why it’s 10:59 pm and I was on my way to bed when I suddenly remembered out of the blue, “Sh*t, it’s my blog’s birthday!” Oh lord.
It’s okay though.. better late than never. For a second, I thought to myself, I’m not even gonna write a blog; I just want to go to bed. But on the other hand, I thought, No, this only happens once a year, and while this year looks different, I can take a few minutes before bed to reflect on this 8-year journey.
This blog has always been very special to me. It’s where I started my writing journey on the internet, where I started working with brands it’s where everything started for me. I’m not going to write some long, boring story about what led up until now; I feel like you guys have heard it a million times.
But I will say this: I am so grateful for the opportunity to still be here, still be writing, still be creating, still doing what I love on my own terms. It gets harder every year, if I’m being honest, but with great family and friends, my amazing supporters, and most importantly God, I know that everything is possible and bigger things are ahead when you keep moving forward.
So with that, happiest birthday to my baby here, and many more to come.
