Hi guys! Ah It’s only March and life has been nonstop lately, and with my husband getting ready to start a new position at work, we knew things were about to get even busier. Before the whirlwind began, he wanted to take some time just for us—no kids, no work, no distractions—so we packed our bags and hit the road for a quick getaway to Seascape Beach Resort in Rio Del Mar, California.

Seascape Getaway.
The nearly three-hour drive was absolutely beautiful, filled with scenic views and smooth traffic (not that he noticed—he slept the whole way while I drove!). We arrived earlier than expected and were lucky enough to check in two hours ahead of schedule. Our ocean-view room was breathtaking, and after dropping off our bags, we wandered across the street to explore a few little shops, pick up some snacks from the market, and share a pizza at a local spot.
Back at the hotel, we took our time soaking in the atmosphere before heading into our very first couples massage. We had no idea what to expect, but it was incredible—so relaxing and exactly what we needed. That evening, a resort staff member picked us up in a golf cart and drove us down to the beach, where a private bonfire was waiting for us, complete with string lights, cozy chairs, and everything we needed for s’mores. Sitting there together, listening to the waves, sharing stories, laughing, and reminiscing was the highlight of the trip. We wrapped up the night with a casual DoorDash dinner back in our room—simple, but perfect.
The next morning, we slept in before making our way back home. This time, Dayjhan drove while I slept—but not before grabbing some delicious burgers and enjoying them together in the parking lot. How romantic haha.
Huge shoutout to my cousin Alisa and bestie Christina for holding things down with the girls and the puppy while we took this time for ourselves. It was such a needed reset, and I’m so grateful we made it happen. Life is about to get crazy, but moments like these remind me just how much I love my husband and our marriage. Here’s to making time for each other, no matter how busy life gets!
