Oh, Mickeyyyyyy! We’re home! And home we were after a 3-day-long trip to the happiest place on earth. Disneyland, of course!
Disneyland is a place we love going as a family. It’s where we can all be big kids and leave our worries behind for a fun-filled day of churros, Mickey-themed everything, and rides—oh man, so many rides. Each time we go to Disney, I swear it’s like the first time because the magic is always there (check out the reel of us telling the kids here). So, of course, the kids and I are always down for a trip! Sometimes it can be a little hard to convince said husband, who swears he’s not a Disney adult (but totally is). But each time it’s special. On this trip, we didn’t have any extra visitors. I didn’t meet up with friends or see any SoCal family. On this trip, we didn’t stay in a sponsored hotel or have a sponsored dinner. Nope! This trip was all about family, and we had a blast. I feel like when I write these blogs, I really don’t have to go into details about what we did because, let’s be honest, the photos are the best! But of course, I’m still gonna give you guys a quick overview of what we did + lots of photos! Enjoy!!!
3 Days At Disney
Day 1
On day one of our trip, we slept in a little and headed off to none other than Goofy’s Kitchen. Our favorite spot for breakfast. We were starved and received a treat we never would have imagined. While waiting in line to be seated, we spotted Nia and Holly from Dance Moms! We were over the moon because, if you know us, you know we are huge Dance Moms fans. We were super shy, but we did get a photo with Nia! Talk about a core memory. After breakfast, we headed in to see all that Pixar Fest had to offer! First stop was Small World and then the Pixar Fest Playtime party. There, the girls got to meet all-new characters, dance their hearts out, and we tried all-new foods like the delicious Lotso Berry Lemonade! We hit up Toon Town for more rides and play and basically from there, just lots more food. We headed off to Downtown Disney to end the night with dinner and shopping.
Day 2
This day, we were supposed to hit up DCA. But due to me mixing up the days with the pride event, we ended up doing Disney 2 days in a row! Trust me, nobody complained. This day, we got up super early for rope drop. We never have done it as a family, so it was cool to experience. Once it was time, I think we literally rode 6 rides within minutes! We even got to ride Alice for the first time! That ride is always packed! We met the Little Mermaid and continued eating our weight in food! Had beignets for the first time. LIFE-CHANGING! Then we decided to take a brief intermission. Dd and Ry went to take a nap while Ivy, Ari, and I hit the pools. Eventually, Ry woke up and joined us. We got dry, changed, and headed back to the park as a family. We had dinner at Zocalo and then I decided to grab us a spot for the Pixar fireworks show. I waited nearly 2.5 hours while Dd took the girls to ride some rides. Once the show started, they were back, and we all enjoyed it together. It was so beautiful and worth the wait. We decided it was cold and time for bed as tomorrow we would rope drop at DCA.
Day 3
Hello, DCA! As much as I love Disney, give me a good DCA day any day! Dd and Ivy went straight for Incredicoaster, and I took Ari and Ry to the carousel. It wasn’t the easiest morning as we had a little back and forth and wasted like 30 minutes standing in line for the racers. But it all worked out. We used our Genie+ and hit a ton of rides. Then something unexpected happened. Ari was stopped by a cast member and honored with a certificate of appreciation. She got unlimited rides on Grizzly and Soarin’ and a free churro. She was so happy; it was pretty cool. We then hit up the Disney Junior dance party for Riley for the first time ever, and she danced the entire time. She even finally got her very own Disney souvenir: a Winnie the Pooh doll. But the best part of the day? The Better Together parade! It had all of our favorite Pixar characters, and we were right in the front! The girls were in awe. It was the best way to end a magical day and our trip to Disney.
We love you, Disney! We’re so grateful for the togetherness you bring our family and the magic. We can’t wait until our next trip.
