Hi hi hi guys!
Ivy is officially 10! Yep! You read that right. Our girl is 10 years old. It’s hard to believe I started this blog when she was only 3 years old and now she’s 10. For such a big birthday you know I had to throw her a big party! For the last few years she has wanted a Disney trip for her birthday. But this year she wanted a party! Baby yoda themed. It wasn’t easy but with the help of some amazing people we pulled out all the stops to make sure she had the best 10th birthday ever. Now scroll down and check out all the details + photos.
Ivy’s Party Details.
Theme: Baby Yoda
Chosen by Ivy. She is really into Baby Yoda right now. This theme was all her.
Location: Sac Mansion
The Sac Mansion is located in downtown Sacramento in the heart of the beautiful Fab 40’s. The Spanish designed home was the perfect spot for a party. The backyard was cozy but also at the same time spacious. We actually fit 8 tables and 50 chairs. Plus a balloon house, cotton candy machine, balloon twister and performer all in the back yard. Plus we had around 40 guest. We kept the food inside on the kitchen island and the cake inside on the table. We also kept party favors inside on the table as well. Monica our host was very gracious. She made sure we had everything we needed and she even helped us as we cleaned up after. A few days prior to the party I had been really stressed about rain. Monica took the time to talk me of the ledge from canceling the party as I freaked out over the phone in the middle of Costco after seeing rain on the forecast. She was so helpful throughout the entire process. She’s also a performer so to top it all off she threw in a surprise performance for Ivy. Ivy was so happy. Would definitely recommend having a party there check out the Sac Manison here and Young Mommy (Monica) here.
Decorations: We So Extravagant Events
There of course is nobody else I would trust to decorate for one of my parties. We So Extravagant Events did all the decor for the party. Decor featured Ivy’s big balloon arch, handmade centerpieces, custom table printables and even a decorative balloon + welcome sign for the front yard of the party. Ivy loved all her decor! Check out We So Extravagant Events here.
Marquee Name Sign: Lavish Marquee Rentals
Lavish Marquee Rentals provided the 4ft letters that spelled out Ivy. We decided to place them right in the center of the backyard so it would be the first thing you see when you walk in. They were professional and the letters were beautiful.
Check out Lavish Marquee Rentals here.
Cake + dessert: Megan’s Bake Shop
Another amazing business I could never throw a party without? Megan’s Bake Shop. Meg has been making my kids cookies and cakes for their birthday for years now. Every time we have a party I just tell her my colors and vision and she does the rest. She is simply the best. We love you Meg! Check out Megan’s Bake Shop here.
Party Extras: Rainbow Moments
Ivy wanted a bounce house but I decided to surprise her and switch it up with a balloon house instead. She loved it! In fact it was a big hit with all the kids they played in for hours. We also hired their balloon twister to twist things like hats and swords for the kids. Then we added the cotton candy machine in the mix. The cotton candy was so delicious I was going back for seconds and thirds. Check out Rainbow Moments here.
Photo booth: Prominent 360 Views
Ivy thought it would be fun to have one of those spinning photo-booths at her party so thats what we had. Prominent 360 Views gave us unlimited photos and had really cute props. It was a blast not only for Ivy but for her guest. The videos came out so funny. Ivy even had a custom logo made by them for all her videos. Check out Prominent 360 Views here.
Entertainment: Jahri’s World
We first learned about Jerry when we saw him perform at a local event last summer. It took some string pulling but I was finally able to contact him and he agreed to come do a few songs for Ivy. The whole party vibe changed when he walked in. He was so upbeat and fun. Most importantly his music was family friendly. The kids had a blast with him. Check out Jahri’s World here.
Food & Favors: It’s me hi!
For food I decided on a small nacho bar. I figured that nachos feed lots of people and Ivy likes them. So with the help of my mother in law and god mom we cooked and set up the bar. We had hamburger meat, nacho cheese, sour cream, salsa, and jalapeños. I used really cute Baby Yoda themed bowls here. For drinks we did water or juice boxes.
For party favors I got nearly everything from Amazon. The black boxes here. The Baby Yoda stickers here and Ivy’s custom bracelets here. The only thing that didn’t come from Amazon was her tags where you can find here and the plain green ribbon which can be found at any Michael’s Craft Store.
Ivy came up to me after her party and said “this was the best party ever”. My heart exploded. I was so glad the rain had played nice and her party was a hit. I hope it’s a day she always remembers for her entire life.
Happy Birthday Ivy Rose!
After Ivy’s party the gifts kept on giving because not only did she come home to one of those huge happy birthday lawn signs. She also came home to her entire room decorated in balloons and Baby Yoda decor. While at the party after helping me with the food my god mom snuck to my house and decorated Ivy’s bed room. Ivy was so happy and couldn’t help but smile ear to ear! Thank you god mom Nicki.
Following the day after Ivy’s party her actual birthday happened and we had a fun easter egg hunt with her cousins, she got a summer themed easter basket and we even did a fun glow in the dark themed egg hunt at the end of night. Not before me and her dad took her to a King’s game for Hello Kitty night. All in all Ivy had a great birthday. She was happy so we were happy.
Ivy we love you kiddo! Cheers to 10!
