Hi guys! How have you been? We’ve been in a Harry Potter time zone, it feels like. As most of you know, Aria recently turned eight (read here). For her birthday, she wanted one thing: a Harry Potter-themed sleepover with her sisters and cousins. With the help of Teepee Ka’boo, we were able to pull off the most unforgettable night.
Aria’s Harry Potter slumber party with Teepee Ka’boo.
Aria turned eight on January 7, but because Aria’s favorite cousin Zoe was heading back home to Alaska from visiting for the holiday, we decided to throw her party a week early. Along with Zoe, Ivy, and Aria’s other favorite cousins Pej & Nana, they had a slumber party that any Harry Potter fan would swoon over.
Teepee Ka’boo is a very popular brand here in Sacramento, California, that specializes in sleepovers and events. With Teepee Ka’boo, you can choose your own unique theme. From mermaids to rainbows, Nerf guns, and even Baby Shark, they do it all. I was so excited when they agreed to do Harry Potter for Aria. When the day came, they arrived right on time and set up everything. It was so cool to watch them set up, and even in the small space of my living room, they managed to make the most beautiful setup. We had 5 tents that featured Harry Potter-themed blankets, stuffed animals, lanterns, glittery pillows, and Hogwarts-themed printouts. There was even a cute little camping set of pillows and lights strung above each tent. It was so beautiful. The setup was very quick. They were in and out and super respectful of our space, our time, and our home. When the girls arrived and saw the setup, they were floored; they could not believe that they were going to get to experience Hogwarts. Teepee Ka’boo truly made our vision come to life. They are the greatest!
Time to party at Hogwarts! (Party details + links)
Besides the amazing tents from Teepee Ka’boo, the party featured good food and decor! A Great Hall backdrop hung above the dining area. Harry Potter-themed foods like Nimbus 2000’s pretzel sticks, Gryffindor grapes, M&M dragon eggs, and more. All the food we bought at our local Walmart, and printed out the labels I got from Etsy, which are also pretty cool because they are totally customizable (find here). Throughout the table, was Harry plates and decor here and also sprinkled some cool Harry Potter-themed confetti and stickers found on Temu (here & here). But we can’t forget the best part: Aria’s Harry cake by Megan’s Bake Shop. Meg never ever disappoints and always comes through with the most lifelike cakes you’ve ever seen! She created a beautiful eighth birthday cake for Aria featuring a little tent on top just for her party, equipped with gold stars and little details from the movie; her cake could not have been more perfect on the outside and in the inside Yummy! Thank you Meg! The party also featured wanted wizard signs which I customized with Canva and even some fun Harry Potter games like iSpy and a Maze that I randomly came across online for free. Another fun touch to the party? The Moaning Myrtle cut out in the bathroom. The kids loved it! (print here). The girls also played pin the scar on Harry Potter, which can be found here on Amazon. Another cool Amazon find? Those Hogwarts acceptance letters (here) that we taped to the fireplace because if you know you know. Another cool part about her party was a goodie bag that I made the girls. The bags, of course, are another cool Amazon find (here), stuffed with all things slumber party and Harry Potter! Such as face masks, sleep masks, and combs/mirrors from Walmart. I did not link those exact ones in the photos, because I bought them months ago back before Christmas time they were like those one time stocking stuffer deals. But I linked some similar stuff from Amazon. Pez and jellybean candy from Five Below, and DIY face puzzle stickers plus a light-up wand from Temu. But that wasn’t even the best part; with the help of my wonderful cousin Alisa, we were able to customize pajamas for the girls (here & here) using a circuit and logos we got from Etsy (here). Each kid had their own house pajamas, except Aria; she had a special one piece from Amazon (here). She even braided Aria’s hair!! We love you Alisa!
Best 8th birthday ever!
Those were the words of our sweet girl at the end of the day. She had the best party ever. I don’t know how we will top it next year; a huge thank you to everyone who made it happen. A huge thank you to Teepee Ka’boo. There would have been no party without you guys, so we really appreciate it. Also, if y’all want to learn more about them, be sure to click here and book your party today, friend!
Until next semester, my wizard friends! See ya!
