Hey guys! Tis the season for festive creativity, and what better way to celebrate than with a Grape Christmas Tree! Inspired by Mackenzie Biehl this unique and delicious holiday decoration is easy to make and adds a touch of sweetness to your festivities.
Tree Supplies.
To craft your grape tree, gather the following materials: a 3.8″ x 11.9″ Styrofoam cone from Michael’s, plastic wrap, toothpicks, 2 bags of green grapes, and a small, brightly colored star for the tree’s crown.
Crafting Your Tree.
1. Prepare the Styrofoam Cone:
Start by wrapping the Styrofoam cone in plastic wrap. This not only provides a clean base for your tree but also helps secure the toothpicks in place.
2. Insert Toothpicks:
Carefully insert toothpicks all over the cone. These toothpicks will act as branches for your grape tree. Ari was a big help with this part.
3. Attach Grapes:
Take individual grapes and slide them onto the toothpicks, covering the entire surface of the cone. Mix and match grape sizes for a visually appealing results.
4. Create a Star:
Fashion a small star from materials like colored paper or felt. Ari just colored one and we cut it out. Attach it to the top of your grape tree using a toothpick and piece of tape to the back.
5. Display and Enjoy:
Once your Grape Christmas Tree is complete, place it as a centerpiece on your holiday table or any prominent spot. Not only does it look delightful, but it also provides a tasty treat for guests to enjoy. We made ours Thanksgiving day and our family got a kick out of it especially the kids.
Happy Grape Eating!
This unique and edible Christmas tree is a fun project for the whole family, combining the joy of crafting with the delight of a sweet holiday treat. It’s a festive way to usher in the season and create lasting memories with loved ones. Cheers to a grape Christmas filled with creativity and deliciousness!
