Hey guys! Tis the season not only for Christmas but lots of birthdays, including Riley’s. Our sweet girl is turning two soon, so, as per usual, we celebrated her birthday early and had a party for her this past weekend with our closest friends and family. Come check it out!
Riley is 2 fast!
The theme? 2 fast, of course, because while she’s still a little baby, it’s going by way 2 fast, so I figured this would be the perfect theme.
Party Time!
Riley had her party on a gloomy Saturday morning, which actually worked out great because it was indoors. Our amazing friends over at We So Extravagant Creations (see some of their past work for us over the years here here and here). They came over nice and early and decorated for the party. Lots of pretty pink balloon arches and, of course, race car feels to go around. It was absolutely perfection. I ordered lots of pizza—too much pizza, in fact, that we had leftovers for days. And, of course, I enlisted the help of Pinterest for some snack ideas like chocolate donuts for spare tires, sour strings for cables, wires, marshmallows for airbags, and more. Riley’s cake was made by none other than our favorite Meg’s Bake Shop. The two-tier race car-themed cake featured delicious soft confetti filling wrapped in sweet buttercream. It came out absolutely delicious. Her gift boxes, customized by me and printed by Zazzle, were a special treat for all the kids inside the gift boxes. We added small race cars from Amazon and her favorite mini bubbles from Walmart, plus her all-time favorite treat, Yum Earth Organic Pops also from Amazon. Riley rocked her race car uniform that she previously wore for her second birthday photos (blog coming soon), and she looked too stinking adorable. And yes, I’m totally biased. In the playroom, I dumped out every toy imaginable and had the movie Cars 1 playing in the living room and Cars 2 in the playroom.
Riley is so loved.
Everyone had such a good time. We sang “Happy Birthday” to our girl, enjoyed the food, watched her open gifts, and partied the day away, making memories with the people we love the most. I want to say thank you to everyone who came to Riley’s party or wished her a early happy birthday. Everyone never ceases to amaze me each year, showing up and showing out for our girl. We love you, little Roo! Hope you had the best birthday ever!
