Hi there! Welcome to your Cookie Monster cookies recipe blog! Today, I’m sharing the fun viral Cookie Monster cookie recipe well.. more like Cookie Monster’s cousin. Although the cookie isn’t very blue because I used sky blue dye instead of navy, it’s still a delightful treat though! Plus, I decided to skip the Oreo in the middle to avoid sweetness overload. But if you’re up for a fantastic cookie recipe, keep reading!
Ingredients:
• Blue dye
• 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 cup chocolate chips
• 1 1/2cup crunched Oreo
•1 1/2 cup crunched Chips ahoy
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
2. In a mixer, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Add in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined. Then drop in your blue dye.
6. Add in the chocolate chips and cookie pieces, distributing them evenly throughout the dough.
7. Using a cookie scoop or a spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving some space between each cookie.
8. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Don’t overbake them like me so the bottoms turn brown.
9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
