Hi guys! It’s been a while since I posted a book review here. Most of them have been over on IG. But I like posting them here better because I can write a more in depth review. Let’s get into it.
About “If I Never Met You”.
“If I Never Met You” is a contemporary romance novel written by Mhairi McFarlane. The story is centered around Laurie, a successful lawyer who has just been dumped by her long-term boyfriend, Dan. Devastated by the breakup, Laurie decides to reinvent herself and show Dan what he’s missing.
Laurie’s plan is to make Dan jealous by pretending to date her colleague, Jamie. Jamie agrees to help Laurie, as he sees it as a chance to get a company promotion to win over his bosses that see him as a playboy not a family man. However, as Laurie and Jamie spend more time together, they begin to develop real feelings for each other.
My review.
The novel explores themes of heartbreak, self-discovery, and the complexities of relationships. It also delves into the challenges of balancing a career with personal relationships.
Overall, “If I Never Met You” is a heartwarming and engaging story that will keep readers hooked until the very end. McFarlane’s has a new big fan! Her writing is witty and engaging, and the characters are well-developed and relatable. It was the type of book I couldn’t stop reading and didn’t want to put down! I am not kidding you guys when I say I literally read 1-2 pages per day! Just so I could stretch the book because I didn’t want it to end! The novel is a perfect read for anyone looking for a feel-good romance with a strong female lead and fuzzy warm feeling. BUY THIS BOOK TODAY! 🙂
