Hi friends! And welcome mama’s. If you’re here today then it’s for good reason. Because today we are all about the infamous tummy time!
Tummy time, tummy time.
We all know tummy time is important to not only help our babies neck and shoulder muscles strong. But also to prevent flat spots from forming on the back of our babies heads. Ah yes the ever so exciting and not so exciting all at the same time tummy time. I say this because as parents it can be such an exciting time for us. Watching our baby get stronger, watching them learn a new skill. But for our baby it’s not always an exciting time. Some babies can get frustrated and cry. Others will just lay there and not even move a muscle. But some babies will flourish and love the time. Riley personal is all the above. But no matter what your baby decides to do. One things for sure! We can make tummy time fun! Below are 3 tips I picked up for a fun tummy time experience.
3 tips for tummy time fun.
Tip 1. Use your blanket: While doing tummy time it’s sometimes recommended to lay baby on a blanket. So I discovered when I use a blanket to sort of plan peek a boo with Riley she may love it. Baby may be more intrigued to lift that head to find mama too.
Tip 2. Grab a mirror: Our mirror is from Riley’s Lovevery box. But you can use any mirror safe for baby. Put the mirror directly under baby or safely right in front of baby. It’s always a fun time seeing how they react.
Tip 3: Baby toys: Riley has a ton of cool baby toys that are different colors, shapes, sizes. She loves to look at them. During tummy time sometimes I will grab one and shake it or wiggle it. It engages her a ton.
Tummy Time can be fun!
So mama tummy time can be a fun time and doesn’t have to be overly complicated or complex either. Follow these tips and have fun with them. But most importantly create a fun environment for your little one! Happy tummy time and good luck!
