Hi guys! What’s your read this month? Well my read for the month of June was The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory. Let’s get into the disappointing review. *cries!

The Wedding Party follows Theo and Maddie. Two Bay Area frenemies who end up both being in their best friend Alexa’s wedding. After one drinking night the pair find themselves sleeping together and they like it! The two then attempt to keep their new romance a secret from Alexa at least until after her wedding. But after a huge fight they’re forced to break up then make up and that’s pretty much the end. I did not enjoy this book. The cover of the book drew me in it was fun, beautiful and had African Americans on the cover. However the book was disappointing. It started off fun and flirty but it literally became extremely repetitive. It was almost as if the author was running out of things to write and just kept repeating them in a different way. Especially when it came to the character Theo. The same thing just kept being repeated over and over about his job the last few chapters. The whole book was pretty much pizza, sex, pizza, sex. I wouldn’t recommend this book. Though I’m not entirely opposed to reading a new book by Jasmine Guillory. My friend actually suggested The Proposal so we shall see.
