Hi guys!
Summer, summer, summer time is here! So what does that mean? Just keep swimming, just keep swimming! Yep! Lots of time in the pool. Most families spend most of the summer at the pool so it’s only natural to want to feel protected. Feeling protected means everyone in the family can swim even the tiniest members of the family the babies. On todays blog I share all about the importance of babies learning to swim. Plus Steve Wallen’s baby swimming lessons.
(NOTE: Faces of students and parents blurred to protect their privacy.)
Steve Wallen Swim School.
Steve Wallen Swim School is a family owned and operated business. The school teaches every level of swim plus skill sets that come with swimming. This school is not new to us as it has been apart of my own family for 3 years (read more here). If you’re not familiar with the school allow me to fill you in. Steve Wallen Swim School services Rocklin, Lincoln, Loomis, Auburn, Granite Bay, and all of the greater Sacramento and placer areas. There are two locations Roseville, CA and El Dorado Hill, CA. The school has top instructors, offers lessons for everyone from babies to the elderly and is super affordable.
Ivy and Aria have been taking lessons here for years. So once Riley was born I was so excited to jump start her lessons as an infant.
What, where, when & how much are lessons?
What: Baby and Infant swimming lessons or Baby and Me Swim lessons are recommended to get started at an early age. This way infants and babies learn quickly and are more likely to enjoy the water more. Lessons can start as early as 3 months old with a parent or guardian. Durning class the babies will learn about water safety and awareness. They will be taught developmental skills for swimming like breathing under water.
Where: Steve Wallen Swim School offers infant and baby swimming lessons at both their Roseville and El Dorado Hills locations.
When: Lessons can be taken as followed per the Wallen Swim website.

Riley’s swim lesson experience.
Riley and I currently take the baby and me class once a week for 30 mins. I look forward to our class every week because Riley absolutely loves the water. It’s also fun to see all the other babies in the class learning how to swim as well. Our instructor is amazing with Riley. She is very gentle and loving. She’s friendly with Riley and very trusting. All of these things are definitely a must when somebody is handling your 5 month old in the water. We have been to 3 classes thus far and love it. Riley loves splashing and practicing her back floats.
As a parent water safety this summer and every day is extremely important to me. I’m so glad my kids and now my little baby are able to learn the techniques to be a swimmer and stay safe in the water. I would highly recommend Wallen to EVERYONE.
