Hi guys!
Today I am calling all families. Mom, dad, sister, brother, baby, the dog! Whoever is in your family this one is for you. I love my family but we all live very different lives on a daily basis. My husband works full time, Ivy and Aria are in school then they have their curricular activities. Then there’s me I have weekly forever changing to do list and caring for Riley who needs me 24-7. Like most families everyone is kinda doing their own thing. But also like most families our family time is important to us. So when we can come together and simply refresh it’s the best time. Today I’m sharing our 3 favorite tips for a family refresh.
What is a refresh?
Well a refresh is basically like a reset. It’s time spent to relax. Time spent to clear your mind. It’s the time you can wind down and push all your worries to the side.
So my family and I did just that. We packed one suitcase with everyone belongings. Hopped in the car and took a trip to our favorite local hotel Element Sacramento Airport. If you haven’t heard about this hotel it’s amazing and you can read about our last trip here. We have visited here many times now and we absolutely love it. The staff is so amazing they’re like family. The hotel is always super clean and quiet. Plus they have A beautiful patio area with the pool plus bonus. It’s located in a cool shopping center with a bunch of great shops and eats. Element Sacramento Airport hosted our stay and they even made us a sweet little gift basket. Not only was the trip special because it was a refresh but It was Riley’s first staycation. We had such a great time and we can’t wait to visit again.
But for now let’s jump into our three tips
3 tips for for a family refresh.
Tip 1. Staycation all I ever wanted: If you haven’t guessed it by now and staycation is a super fun way to refresh with your family. You don’t have to spend the ton of money, you’re getting out of the house, and you’re all together on a little trip. It’s different than the ordinary day by day schedule and you’re not far from home. My family and I love to staycation especially at Element Sacramento Airport.
Tip 2: Unplug, unplug & unplug: in our every day routine there are so many electronics. From the TV to the laptops the iPads and the iPhones were always on some kinda screen time. When doing a refresh with your family it’s important to be present and unplug. Unplug all the electronics and just enjoy your family. I took a few photos durning our staycation. But once I was done I unplugged everything even the camera.
Tip 3. Try something new: It’s always fun to try something new but it’s special when you do with your family. You guys could try out a new restaurant or try out a new store. You could try out a new museum, park or whatever your hearts desire. Trying something new together is a great way relax as a family and have fun.
How will your family refresh?
There’s a million ways to refresh rather you leave the house for a staycation like we did. Or stay home and build a fort in the living room. It could even be something as lavish as going on a fancy family cruise. Or something as simple as going on a family walk. As long as you’re taking the time to focus and spend with you family that’s all you need to refresh. Happy refreshing friends!
