What is your favorite holiday movie? Well I have many but for me The Grinch is definitely high up on my list. So scrolling online I recently found a simple recipe on some delicious looking Grinch cookies! I tried the recipe and failed. I tried a second time and successfully made the cookies. I guess life is so much simpler when you just follow the directions the first time. So today I am gonna teach you step by step how to make these cookies right the first time and just in time for Christmas!
Ingredients list
-2 Eggs.
-Green food coloring.
-1/3 Cup of canola oil.
-1 Box of white cake mix.
-Tube of red gel icing.
-1 Cup of powered sugar.
How to make Grinch Cookies.
Step 1. Take a baking bowl and add your cake mix. 2 eggs ONLY! This is where I messed up my first time by adding 3 like the box said. DO NOT listen to the box we are making cookies not cake. So add your 2 eggs, oil and start mixing.
Step 2. Add in a few drops of your green food coloring for the Grinch’s color. Start mixing again. Your mix should be a little doughy which is perfect!
Step 3. Take your dough and roll it into a ball and dip into your powered sugar. Add to baking tray on top of parchment paper optional.
Step 4. Bake for 9-11 minutes at 350 degrees cookies should lightly have the cracks in them.
Step 5. Lastly once cookies have completely cooled add your red heart to them by using the tube or a small toothpick.
The Grinch never tasted so good!
