Hi friends! How are you? I’ve been doing really well. Besides being a bit tired most of time growing this little baby had been a journey for sure. With only 13 weeks left and the holidays coming fast I decided it was time to have to get our baby shower done! Oh, what a baby shower it was.
Our little pumpkin.
So fast forward a few months ago I was talking to one of my best friends Maria when she started sending me ideas for a pumpkin themed baby shower. Seeing as how fall is my favorite season and this was the cutest theme ever I jumped on it! My best friend Melissa was set to host the baby shower but things didn’t quite go as planned. She was able to create the sweetest little pumpkin favors and provided some super fun games. Though she couldn’t host it was alright because my god mom Nicki came to the rescue to play host and she did an amazing job! Nicki also provided the gifts for the games, the center pieces and a beautiful diaper cake.
My good friend Latesia provided the wonderful balloon arch which was just so amazingly put together. It was perfect for my theme. While the banner came from a small Etsy shop. The delicious food was cooked up by my amazing sister P. Oh! And can’t forget about the yummiest desert table from Megans Bake Shop.
While the venue was booked through the Sierra 2 Center. Which I actually had my other sisters baby shower at nearly three years ago in the same room! (read about it here). So that is how the my little pumpkin themed baby shower came together. Couldn’t of done it without the help of my friends, family and some pretty cool shops. Be sure to check them all out below!

Party time!
It was finally shower day and after months and months of planning everything was set up and it was time to party! One by one everyone trickled in and we got started. We started off by eating of course. Spaghetti, pasta, corn, loaded salad and fresh water to wash things down. My tummy was so happy and full. As we all sat down to eat Nicki began the first game which was the “how well do you know mommy” game. My friends and family laughed and joked as they each tried to access how much they knew about me. No one got all 15 questions right but they came close! Next we played “guess the children’s book emoji” game. I had never played this before and I will admit it was very challenging. Basically everyone was given a card with an emoji and had to guess which children’s book it was. It was a really unique game and so much fun. The guest was also given a card of well wishes for our little pumpkin. Once that was done the last game was “guess how big mommy is”. I believe it was my cousin in law who guessed the exact size. The food and games were definitely a hit.
After the fun it was time for even more fun as the guest snacked on some Megans Bake Shop treats which included buttercream cake, rice crispy treats, cake pops and Oreos. Oh goodness it was delicious! While snacking I let Ivy, Aria and my niece Pej open all the gifts. It was so sweet watching them go through all of the tiny baby clothes, toys, diapers etc. They had fun! Of course when they were not on the patio playing with bubbles. The day before I had picked up a ton of bubble wands to keep all the tiny ones busy at the party. I’d say I did a good job with that.
Baby pumpkin.
Once the shower was over the guest took home their tiny pumpkin favors. Plus signed a large pumpkin on the way out that doubled as a guest book with best wishes for baby C. We cleaned up got everything in the car and the party seemed to be over as soon as it started. I got home and I was beat. The shower wasn’t co ed so when Dayjhan got home from work and seen all the gifts he was like “woah”. Our baby pumpkin is so loved already. I want to give the biggest thank you to my friends and family and everyone who wished baby C well. My best friends from afar who sent gifts, Megan, Karen, Gabi, my brother in law. Thank you all so much.
and to my tiny pumpkin we can’t wait to meet you.
