Hi friends! Can you believe it’s already October? September sure did fly by am I right? But I don’t mind because not only is this one of my favorite months ever but also my favorite Holiday is coming Halloween!
Double, Double, Toil and Trouble.
Halloween is my favorite holiday for so many reasons but mainly because for one night only you get to step out your comfort zone and be someone completely different. Another one of my favorite things about Halloween is creating DIY costumes. I mean hello they are cheap and can be really fun. This year the girls only had one DIY costume request for me and that was to be Lynn and Kelly Farmer from Double, Double, Toil and Trouble. Yes, that classic Mary-Kate and Ashley flim. I was so excited to create these looks for the girls and I did it with the help from our friends at Primary.
Why we choose Primary.
Primary has been one of my favorite children stores for as long as I can remember. From the sizing to their simple yet colorful solid clothing Primary has been a staple in our household. (Check out past Primary blogs here and here). So of course when it came to creating these costumes Primary was at the top of my list. The costumes are nice and simple. Here’s what you’ll need below.
What you’ll need for your costume.
- Primary Long sleeve perfect pocket dress (in berry) find here.

- Witch hat.
- Children’s cloak.
- Broom stick (optional).
The entire costume is done in minutes. Just put everything on your little one and you’re done! The costume is inexpensive, quick and the best part is your little one could even wear it as an every day. Outfit minus the hat and broom of course no one would even think it was a Halloween costume. Trust me, the girls wore theirs to school the day after these photos.
