Good morning friends! Happy Tuesday. Fun fact: did you know we are only 2 weeks, yes 2 weeks away from the first day of fall. As the biggest lover of the fall season nothing excites me more! Warm weather, golden leaves, cozy sweaters, fire place lightings. Yes it’s the beginning of something special I’d say. So this year I decided to kick off my fall season a little early.
Brown Sugar Maple Glazed Bacon!
So how am I kicking off fall early? Well I am starting in the kitchen with a sweet fall recipe for all my maple and bacon lovers. Brown sugar maple glazed bacon. Maple is the perfect fall staple and who doesn’t love bacon? So grab your fall apron and meet me in the kitchen!
Maple bacon Ingredients:
- Thick sliced bacon.
- Cooking spray.
- Maple syrup (I used sugar free).
- 1/4 cup brown sugar.
- Aluminum foil.
- Baking pan + rack.
Let’s get to bacon.
Step 1: First use cooking spray to spray the top of your rack and line you bacon atop of the rack making sure each piece is individually separated. My first step actually would of been to line my baking rack with aluminum foil first but I totally forgot which made for a horrible clean up afterwards. So I definitely suggest using aluminum at the bottom of your baking pan.
Step 2: Next take your maple syrup and drizzle over your bacon strips. Once you’ve drizzled your maple syrup over your bacon take your pantry brush and brush evenly across all pieces. As mentioned above I used sugar free because I already felt it was a ton of sugar for me personally being pregnant with the brown sugar.
Step 3: Take your brown sugar and sprinkle evenly across your bacon strips. Flip your bacon over and repeat the steps to the other side.
Step 4: Once all your bacon is ready to go set your oven to 350 degrees F. No pre heating it’s okay here to let your oven come to temperature while your bacon is in there. Now depending on your oven your bacon could bake between 25-45 minutes. Be sure to check on it after every 15 minutes no flipping necessary. Once your bacon shiny and browned it’s time to take it out, cool and enjoy!
Fall we love you.
Oh yeah! Oh yeah! You just made some fresh Brown sugar maple glazed bacon. Your family will kiss the cook and your belly will be so full of fall tastiness it won’t know what to do. You can add any side you want but I kept it simple for my family and added a quick side of biscuits. I hope you all enjoyed this recipe and be sure to come back for more fall recipes throughout the season! See ya soon!
