Hi friends! Fun fact, did you know my oldest daughter Ivy is 6 years old soon to be 7? Yes in just a few short days my wild one will be 7 years old. Not so fun fact? Covid has been here since right before her last birthday. I remember it like it was yesterday. She had so many plans for turning 6. She wanted to take birthday cupcakes to school, hit up Target to go shopping, and end the day at Dave and Buster’s for dinner. Yes, but her little plans were obviously canceled and we made new ones instead.
So instead of taking cupcakes to school, we had custom-made cookies from our favorite local shop, Sweet Flour Bakery. Instead of going shopping at Target, we had a Target pick up, and instead of Dave and Buster’s for dinner we had pizza and homemade cake. It wasn’t the fanciest birthday but Ivy loved it and it was special. It was special because as a family we were able to take something bad and create beautiful memories instead.
Last year was such a strange time and unfortunately I never even got around to blogging about Ivy’s special day. While it’s almost been a year now and she is about to turn 7 I thought this would be a great time to share some of her birthday photos. Hey better late than never right.
I love you Poopie, looking forward to year 7, but for now year 6.
