Halloween with Netflix.

Halloween! It’s been my very favorite holiday for as long as I can remember. I have always enjoyed the excitement of waking up on Halloween day, putting on my costume to be someone or something else for a day, the never-ending supply of candy, and of course trick or treating. I mean who doesn’t love trick or treating right? Seeing everyone dressed up on Halloween night running from house to house, collecting more candy! Unfortunately this year many of us won’t get to have that experience. But lucky for us, Halloween will still be loads of fun thanks to !

As parents, many of us are just looking for ways to bring our kids that special Halloween feeling even being at home. Well, now we will be able to do just that. Netflix has created a super fun way for us to still celebrate Halloween from the comfort of our own homes safely with our families. Introducing ! Netflix has officially partnered with an app we all know and love Snapchat! to bring us the Augmented Reality that is The Haunted House. On Halloween day, you and your family will be able to use Snapcodes to turn your home into a haunted house just by using your own smartphone. So how does the Haunted House work? What are Snapcodes? How do you use it? So many questions right? well, check it out step by step below.

How it’s done.

Step 1: Head to . There you will download what is called the Netflix Haunted House kit. You will need this kit to haunt your house. In the kit, you will find helpful tips plus Snapcodes. Snapcodes are unique images that you scan with your phone’s camera to do cool things.

Step 2: Print your Snapcodes and cut them out.

Step 3: Take your printouts along with small pieces of tape and hang them in different spots around your home. You can hang them based on the suggestions that are listed on each of the snapcodes.

Step 4: The final step and my favorite step is when Snapchat is required. Open up your Snapchat app and point your camera at the snapcodes. Watch as your home becomes haunted by some spooky cute Netflix characters right before your eyes, in cool Halloween environments. It’s alive! It’s really alive! insert scary evil laugh here muahahaha!
