How are you today? I don’t know about you but I am in the mood for something sweet and salty! But what is something quick to make that will satisfy these cravings yet delicious too? Oh, I know! How about some Butterfinger® dip and potato chips? Sounds wild right? Well, the combo is actually one of the best things you’ll ever try I promise. Today I am going to teach you how to make a simple Butterfinger® dip to enjoy when you’re on your own sweet and salty kick.
I love candy bars! it’s never been a secret they are my go-to when I need sugar in my life. So when I decided to make a sweet and salty dip I knew I wanted to incorporate one of my favorite candy bars from Ferrero candy and that’s Butterfinger. I have many favorites from Ferrero candy-like Crunch® and Baby Ruth® but for this particular recipe, I wanted that Butterfinger taste. You know that crispety, crunchety texture only a Butterfinger can give you. Plus I love the peanut-buttery flavor too. So Butterfinger dip it was! I decided to add the potato chips to the side for that salty kick and of course, potato chips make great little scooper uppers too. So how do we make this delicious dip? Well, let’s get into it.
So I headed to my local Walmart to pick up all the ingredients. What you will need is the following:
-1 bag of Butterfinger Fun Size Bars.
-2 packages of cream cheese (8oz).
-1 container of cool whip (8oz).
-& lastly brown sugar.
Step 1: First I like to crunch up my Butterfinger Fun Size bars. I typically will lay them flat on a cutting board and just crunch them up with the back of my ice cream scooper. It’s quick and easy.
Step 2: Take your cream cheese, 1/4 cups of brown sugar and pour it into a bowl. Beat until the texture is fluffy. I do not have an electric mixer so I did this by hand with a wooden spoon.
Step 3: Mix in your cool whip and your Butterfinger Fun Size bars into the bowl. But save a few pieces for the top of your dip.
Step 4: Once done add more Butterfinger Fun Size bars to the top, and then just refrigerate until it’s ready to be served.
You did it! You just created the world’s most delicious dip in a matter of minutes so go treat yourself and enjoy life’s little pleasures like the Butterfinger dip.
