@clevenate_scalpoasis… I’m obsessed 🧖🏾‍♀️✨

I went to Clevenate Scalp Oasis (Roseville, with locations in Fremont & Elk Grove) & did their Therapeutic Lymphatic Drainage Facial Combo. From the scalp analysis at the beginning (seeing all that built-up oil was wild 👀) to the hydrating face mask at the end, the whole experience was next-level relaxing.

As a Black girl with braids, I was a little nervous but it was absolutely NOT an issue. My scalp felt clean, my hair smelled amazing, & the specialist was so gentle + kind. I literally fell asleep during the massage 😌

If you need a reset for your scalp & your skin, this is it. Thank you Clevenate!

3 Tips on preparing for an outdoor playdate featuring AT&T & Sesame Street.

July 10, 2020      Porsha Carr

This post is sponsored by AT&T, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Hi Friends!

How are you doing? How are you holding up in the world we are living in today? I know so many things have changed in such a short amount of time. For some, it can be easy to adjust, for others not so much – it can be especially hard for our little ones.

As a mother, I have seen first hand how my girls, Ivy 6 and Aria 4 have been affected by the changes caused by COVID-19. It’s hard to watch as their little lives have been seemingly turned upside down.

I sat down and thought to myself “how can I help them adjust to the for-now normal?” So, when I learned that AT&T was collaborating with Sesame Street to help families like ours cope with COVID-19, I decided to look into it more.

Sesame Workshops with AT&T! When I first heard about this, I was immediately excited to learn more. For weeks I had been looking for resources to help my family make this new life transition easier, and here it is. With so many families seeking emotional, educational and social support, AT&T teamed up with Sesame Street Workshop to fund this program. AT&T’s support of the workshops is a part of a $10 million Distance Learning and Family Connections fund. These resources help provide parents, our little ones, and even teachers with the tools we all need for learning from home. Pretty amazing right? With a contribution of $500,000 from AT&T, Sesame Workshop is currently busy creating and releasing modules to help with a bunch of topics like public health concerns, do’s, and don’t for wearing a face mask and even topics like missing their friends – which, for my girls, was the number one thing they were frustrated about when COVID-19 started

With the world slowly opening again, I used the resources offered from Sesame Workshop and AT&T to get educated on a lot of great ways to help my girls cope with the playdate blues. Today with the help of this collaboration, I am giving you 3 tips on preparing for a safe outdoor playdate.

Tip 1: Set boundaries. As the world just starts opening back up, the first real playdate can feel a little scary. This is why it’s important to set boundaries going forward —rules like no touching, give distance high fives, no food sharing, bring your own snacks, etc. Create boundaries you feel will keep your little ones safe and 6 feet apart. Getting creative is key.

Tip 2: BYOT. Bring your own toys. What’s a playdate without toys, right? But these days, it’s better to play it safe and bring your own toys. If you do end up sharing toys, try to make sure it’s something that is not touched by hands a lot. For example, a soccer ball is a great option.

Tip 3 Talk to parents. It’s best to make sure you and the parents of your child’s friend are on the same page. This way, the playdate can go smoothly and everyone can have fun while following the rules and keeping their distance.

So, if you do decide it’s time for your little ones to have a playdate with their friends then go for it. Just remember to heed a few of my tips, be safe, and most importantly have fun!
