Disclaimer: This post was written back in May. Life got ahead of me and I never got to post it until now. I apologize.
Hi friends!
Mother’s day was like what? A month or so ago and I’m just now getting around to this post. But what can I say? That’s life right? the important thing is it’s here now and I’m so excited to bring it to you finally.
Mothers Day 2019 was nothing short of a great one. My own mother actually had to work all day so that left me to spend the entire day with my girls. On pass mothers day’s I have always tried to divide the day. Start the day with my mom and end the day with my kids but it was a little different this time around. This year for the 3rd or 4th year in a row my family and I headed to Roseville, CA to attend the strawberry festival. Good food, good music, lots of entertainment of the little ones and most importantly a ton of strawberries.
This year I was actually lucky enough to team up with the strawberry fest for complimentary tickets for my family and also host a local giveaway on Instagram which was really fun.
The festival was nice and hot per usual and we actually parked down the road and shuttled there due to a ton of traffic and limited parking. We had never done that before and the girls actually loved riding the shuttle. My husband and I loved it too because we saved $10 to park. It only took a few minutes to get there and get our tickets scanned. Naturally, the girls wanted to hop of some rides, while my husband wanted to check out the bikers doing stunts. Me? I just wanted to eat. We had a ton of yummy foods that day like chicken kabobs, shaved iced, frozen lemonade and so much more. The girls even somehow convinced us to buy them bubble wands. Which I feel was worth the prices because they enjoyed them so much. We stayed for about an hour before we decided it was hot and we were all strawberried out.
The festival was so much fun and like always I loved every second of it. Thank you so much to my great friends for our tickets and for putting on a nice festival. I am already counting down the days until the next one.
