A summer night of ice cream (featuring Fairy Tale Town).

 

During summer one of my kids, favorite things to do is eat ice cream, I mean hello who doesn’t love ice cream right? Another one of their favorite things to do is read fairy tale stories. It’s one of their favorite types of stories. So when you put the two together ice cream and fairy tales what do you get? You get A Mid Summer Nights Dream and Crystal Ice Cream Fantasy.

A Mid Summer Nights Dream and Crystal Ice Cream Fantasy is a magical night hosted by Sacramento’s Fairy Tale Town. Fairy Tale Town has been around for as long as I can remember. I have so many memories of being there when I was a child and now I am able to take my children to recreate those memories and more. Fairy Tale Town is a cozy little amusement like park for all ages that brings everyone’s favorite fairy tales to life. Rather you are into Humpty Dumpty or Jack And Jill Fairy Tale Town features play structures, live plays, animals and even fun themed nights like Mid Summer Nights Dream and Crystal Ice Cream Fantasy.

 

My family and I had never been to this particular event there and were happy to go. This event was sponsored by no other than Crystal Ice Cream and featured a bunch of fun magical things to do during a summer night with your family. 

 

We grabbed our tickets, met up with our friends and headed in for some fun. Once we were in the kids couldn’t wait to get started on eating all the ice cream but not before meeting the pirates near the front gates for a little water fun. After that, the kids stopped to make some arts and crafts which they had a blast doing. Once done doing crafts we then headed towards a grassy area near the food stands where there were a bunch of vendors set up. We just had to check them out because each vendor was selling different items. Some selling toys, others selling books and even some awesome customized items. The girls then spotted a fairy in the grass with a huge magic like bubble wand. She made bubbles as big as the kids as they chased them and tried to pop each one with their tiny little hands. The fun just kept on going because the kids and their friends found the playground and we could barely get them to leave it. Later that night we were able to see a few animals, play a few games and in between all of that, of course, we tasted a ton of ice cream in every single flavor you can imagine.
