Hi friends!
Happy June first! and happy Sunday! can you believe it’s already June? We are officially halfway through the year crazy right? With the year going by so fast and the summertime coming my schedule has become hectic, to say the least. But that doesn’t mean that I can’t make time for myself right?. What better way to do so than by starting the weekend off with a little wine, a little yoga, and my Kaia Fit family?
For the last week of brik (read about brik here) Kaia Fit has been kicking our butts! Hell week as they call it was one for the books. Though each day had a fun theme the coaches showed no mercy on us. Our classes became harder, our limits were put to the test, and our bodies got a little stronger. Hell week was rough. So Kaia showed us a little Kaia kindness and put together an event for us girls called Sip and Savasna. Located in Newcastle, California at Dono dal Cielo, an Estate Vineyard a huge group of us showed up bright and early at 10:00 am. Ready to get our weekend started on the right foot and put hell week behind us.
The vineyard was absolutely beautiful with lots of green grass, wine vines, chirping birds and friendly faces. When we got there we found parking super quick. We headed down a hill where we found a spot on the grass under a bunch of shady trees near a small pond and surrounded by a few tiny froggy friends. Yes, there were tiny frogs there and if you were lucky enough to spot one, then you know just how cute they were. We laid our yoga mats out, got familiar with our surroundings and then it was time to start. Yoga lasted for an hour with coach Megan. She was such a good coach. I had never taken a class with her before so I did not know what to expect. She gave us step by step instructions, made sure she encouraged us to find our peace and made us all feel totally in the zone. I had a moment where I felt like I was almost dreaming. We were in the downward dog position and there was a song playing that sounded like a drum or a heartbeat. It was so relaxing and my favorite part of the class. When yoga was over the girls and I was treated to wine tasting in the winery and some of us even treated to a commemorative wine glasses which was really nice.
The entire morning was so beautiful and relaxing I’m so glad that I was able to attend the event. Thank you so much to Amy and Leslie of Kaia Fit for putting this together and Dono dal Cielo, Estate Vineyard for having us. I love being apart of the Kaia family and so excited about our future events! With that, said I leave you with a quote from coach Megan that stuck with me.
