Madame Alexander Dolls: why every little girl should own one.

April 30, 2019      Porsha Carr

(I received this product for review, but all opinions are my own.)
(This is a sponsored post from Madame Alexander.)

Hi Friends!
Question. When you were younger what was your favorite doll? The doll you couldn’t live without? The one you took everywhere with you- and I mean everywhere. To bed, where you two stayed up past your bedtime making shadow puppets. To the playground, where you went on a ton of adventures, like pretending to build giant sand castles in the sandbox. To the dinner table where it was frowned upon because mom said that toy doll was too dirty from playing in the sand. But you didn’t care. You ate your dinner with it by your side anyways because it was your best friend. Well for me that was my Madame Alexander Doll. Now many years later that same doll brand is being handed down to my girls.

If you are not familiar with Madame Alexander dolls, well, it’s time to get familiar with them. These dolls have been around since the beginning of time and I think it’s safe to say they aren’t going anywhere.
With almost 100 years of doll making, Madame Alexander dolls have been around with a mission. Create quality dolls to help little ones in developing relationships that are meaningful, inspiring and enduring. Who thought you could get all that from playing with a doll? But it’s true. Meaningful times are playing with those shadow puppets at night in bed. Inspiring is the imaginative play in the sandbox. Enduring are those nights at the dinner table. Amazing right?
Madame Alexander not only envisioned these dolls as a toy, but a learning tool. A tool that would teach little ones things like compassion and responsibility or social skills and empathy. These days children in the world could use so much more of those things. They could also use more imaginative play and less screen time. Madame Alexander dolls deliver just that. When a little one plays with their doll, that time is focused on being adventurous, running around, having that tea party, playing dress up, being a problem solver and communicator. That time is a special time creating life long memories that inspire love not only with a doll but a new friend. Madame Alexander believes that “dolls are meant to be played with and loved.“
So, what are some of the details that make these dolls so special? Well for starters their features are so realistic. Each doll is made to have lifelike expressions and soft bodies like real babies. So not only do they look real, but they feel real as well. The Middleton dolls are 16″ and come with an adorable outfit and cuddly blanket. They also are accompanied by a fun adoption certificate. One of the best things about these dolls is that they aren’t over-accessorized like many dolls on the market today. Madame Alexander wants little ones to focus on the doll and creating a relationship with it without being distracted. Again, that drives that imaginative play and gets their minds going. These dolls are best for ages 2 and up.  Ivy and Aria both have Middleton dolls with soft brown skin and brown eyes. These dolls resemble them as little babies. They love their dolls so much they don’t want to let them out of their sight. I couldn’t be happier with these dolls and my girls couldn’t love them more if they tried.
For us Madame Alexander is a part of our family. They have been for a while and will continue to be for many generations to come. I will forever be thankful for these memories and dolls.

Thank you, Madame Alexander, for the girls’ dolls.
