In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m sharing 5 simple ways you can protect your peace & pour back into you.

1. Start your mornings with God – Pray, read a verse, or sit in silence & invite Him into your day.

2. Say ā€œNOā€ without guilt – Protect your time, energy, and peace.

3. Get outside daily – Even a quick walk or sitting in the sun can shift your mood.

4. Talk to someone you trust—or write it down – If you don’t feel ready to open up to someone, grab a journal & let it out. Your feelings deserve space, either way. Me personally I talk to God.

5. Celebrate the small wins – You’re doing better than you think.

Showing up for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. Let’s normalize choosing rest, boundaries, & joy on purpose.

Fun & easy DIY Easter Baskets with Crayola.

April 15, 2019      Porsha Carr

(I received this product for review, but all opinions are my own.)
(This is a sponsored post from Crayola.)

Hi friends!
Easter is coming! It’s coming fast and it’ll be here before we know it. Every year I make themed Easter baskets for the girls like my mom did for me and my brother when we were little. Every year the themes get better and better and this year there is no exception. This year my girls are really into art like coloring, drawing, expressing themselves you know getting creative. So I knew that they had to have a basket that reflected that. With the help of my friends over at Crayola, I created one colorful basket for my little artists in training.

We all know Crayola, it’s a brand that we have used and loved for years. I remember using Crayola as a child and now my girls are using it to this day. It has been around forever and it’s the brand we choose when we want to create some fun. So partnering up with them to create the girl’s baskets was so much fun. When I received the box of goodies in the mail I got excited for my girls.

The baskets are really easy and fun to make, not only that but really inexpensive as well. Everything that comes in the basket came up to be around $35.00 (baskets and garlands not included also crayons & molding clay not included either. I added those in myself separately). The basket only took me about 30 minutes to make and was mess free. So basically mom wins all around here. So what’s in the basket?

1.Ā Crayola Silly Putty BiGG Egg: Silly putty big eggs are a ton of fun! They are great for rolling or twisting. Like theĀ originals these ones bouncy, stretchy and reusable too. You also don’t have to worry about the compound drying out. For theĀ holiday they have even made fun pastel colors which include pink,Ā green, blue and yellow. Below are the store retail prices for each putty option.
Crayola Silly Putty Original: $4.99
Silly Scents Pastel: $0.99
Crayola Silly Putty Silly Glow and Super Bright: $1.99

2. Crayola Outdoor Chalk: What little one doesn’t love chalk right? With spring in full effect, this item isn’t just great for an Easter basket but for summer and fall outdoor play too. Plus with many chalk options to choose from you may find your little one is quite the tiny Picasso. With the Crayola Tie Dye Chalk, it produces wild new colors each time your little ones draw! The Crayola Neon Chalk makes for a bright good time. While the glitter chalk creates dazzling-sparkly creations. Below are the store retail prices for each chalk option.
Crayola Tie Dye Chalk: $2.99
CrayolaĀ Neon Chalk: $2.99
Crayola Glitter Chalk: $2.99

Ā

3. Crayola Wonder Coloring Pad w/ markers: If yourĀ little ones love drawing with markers like my girls they will love this. Joining Paw Patrol and Peppa Pig they will have hours of fun with 18 pages of mess-free coloring. Because the special Color Wonder markers only appear on paper. How great is this? Below are the store retail prices for the products:
Crayola Wonder Coloring pad: $7.99

Now there you have it fun and easy DIY Easter baskets with Crayola for your little artists. You can purchase all of these items at retailers nationwide as well as fromĀ Crayola.comĀ and Amazon.com. Happy Easter friends! stayĀ colorful! šŸ™‚

The glitter and tie dye chalk is so cute! And, who doesn't love Silly Putty! I have great memories of using it to "lift" pictures from the Sunday funny pages.

This is such a lovely combination to share with children to encourage their creativeness. Most kids would just love this and the bonus is that it really is very cost effective.
