Hi friends!
Steve Wallen Swim School is a family operated swimming school that services Rocklin, Lincoln, Loomis, Auburn, Granite Bay, and the greater Sacramento and placer areas. They have two locations one here in El Dorado Hill, CA that’s been around for years and another one here in Roseville, CA that opened up about a year ago. For over 40 years Steve and his son Kaleb’s school have been teaching the life skill of swimming to not only infants and kids but adults too for every swim level. Each instructor that works with the school has been personally trained by either Steve or Kaleb themselves. Pretty cool right? Very hands on if you ask me, and also very reassuring for a mother like me who are putting my children’s hands in these instructors lives for swim lessons. Ā So rather your little one can swim a little like Ivy or just can’t swim at all like Aria Steve Wallen Swim School caters to everyone. They even offer competitive lessons and underwater video analysis lessons as well.
The facility offers many other awesome things as well such as a state-of-the-art swimming pool that is indoors so your little ones can feel comfort swimming any day in time. Plus with their 90 degrees heated pool it makes swimming not only fun but warm and welcoming too. The school offers year-round lessons by starting out teaching the basics for example control which is one of the greatest key factors for learning to swim.
Upon making my the girls first appointment I was so nervous because I myself never learned how to swim as a child. I had never been to a swim lesson and neither had the girls so I didn’t know what to expect going there in person. But they were excited and that was enough for me. When we arrived at the school and went inside the girls then got a little scared but that quickly disappeared once they got to the water.
They each had an instructor that focused solely on them and were very attentive. They each did different things with the girls and the girls were very comfortable with them. I was shocked when I saw Aria jump right underwater to her instructor and Ivy practicing breathing under water. I had never seen my girls do anything like that before. The lesson lasted 30 minutes and when the girls were done their instructors and the other water staff praised them for doing such a good job on their first lesson. Don’t even get me started on how wonderful the staff was from the women at the front desk to all of the instructors they were all so sweet and helpful.
In a nutshell, the Steve Wallen Swim School is definitely a place you want to take your children. They are a kind, caring, compassionate, smart, a skilled family of swimmers. They are ready to teach your little ones and help them on the path to finding their swim skill abilities. I would recommend this place to any parents reading this seeking swim lessons for their children. It’s worth it and you won’t be disappointed. The girls are more than ready to head back to their next lesson and I’m more than ready to watch my little swimmers succeed at Steve Wallen Swim School.

This sounds like a great school. I love that they offer one on one attention. That goes a long way to making the kids feel safe.
I highly encourage all parents to make their children take up some swimming lessons. It is both a fun hobby and skill. ļæ½ļæ½
The individual instruction really sells me on this place. I love that the classes aren't 10 to 15 kids per instructor. That makes it easier to learn and so much safer.
Steve Wallen Swim School sounds great! Thanks for sharing your experience with them!
Looks like an awesome swim school. I am glad you chose this one for your daughters. Me and my siblings were all "self-taught" and so were all my children. This time around, my grandchildren are going to get professional swim training in a summer program offered by a university near our home. I only wish we had a Steven Wallen Swim School near us.
So cute! I wish I had sent my kids to swim school! They can manage in water but are by no means professionals!
I truly believe we need to teach our kids how to be safe around the water, and that includes a good swim school. Thanks for telling us abut Steve Wallen.
This school seems to be a great place to learn swimming. Lovely, place, great pictures and so nice to see the little ones so happy.

I love the fact that they each had their own instructor! This is key for any younging learning to swim!
That one on one instruction is so valuable! Sounds like a great place to take kids for swimming lessons.
This is something that I missed out when I was younger. This is probably why I'm not that a strong swimmer even when I'm an adult. :0(
I can't remember the name of the school we used for our kids when they were little, but we loved it. It is extremely important to teach kids to swim at an early age!
Babies are naturally know how to swim (inside their Mom's womb for 9 months). But they tend to forgot it once they are born, that's why reconnecting them to the waters will make them more familiar to swim again, and avoid getting drowned.
