Hi friends!
Fun stuff! tonight my family and I were invited to attend a Sacramento Kings game at the Golden 1 Center. The Golden 1 Center was built a few years back and many people have no idea all it has to offer.
Before the game, I was lucky enough to be able to take a tour of the Golden 1 Center. I was also lucky enough to be able to learn more about the programs they offer like the Kids and Jr Kids club. Let me tell you all about it.
The Golden 1 Tour started at 1:00 pm where myself and some other mother bloggers were lead through the media entrance. Our tour was hosted by the incredibly sweet Kari Ida the Director of Public Relations for the kings. The tour started downstairs where we first headed to E-Sports Studio and Video Game Center. That center had things like classic games, TVs and comfortable seating. The center was one of a kind and a really grand way to start the tour.
Next, we headed on down to another cool room called “The Quiet Zone”. This room is a sensory space offered to anyone attending a game who may need a moment of quiet due to being overstimulated. Kings games are a ton of fun so this room can be very helpful.
After that, we were able to see media rooms, and learn about how technologically advanced the Golden 1 Center is. For example how the WiFi works. Which is located under each seat in the arena for great speed and quality. Betcha didn’t know that the Golden 1 Center has enough WiFi to power 17,000 houses did ya? It’s okay don’t feel bad I didn’t either. But honestly how cool is that?
We were also able to get some great information on their brand new Kings + Golden 1 Center app. The new app features allow things like ordering food right from your seat to be delivered. Also things like step by step directions for spots in the center and bathroom wait times. Because who likes waiting for the bathroom right?
Moving forward in the tour we were taught that 90% off the food made in Golden 1 Center is locally sourced. They also offer many delicious options for everyone including vegan and vegetarian options and even gluten-free options as well. They also have a cool meatless Monday campaign (read more about that here). Oh! and if you get thirsty the Golden 1 Center teamed up with Sierra Nevada to bring some pretty badass beverage options too.
One of my favorite parts of the tour was the Mamava breastfeeding pod. As a pass breastfeeder of two children, I really appreciated this. The Mamava pod is a pod that allows mothers to breastfed their babies privately and comfortably. Which is awesome. Something I wish was around when my girls were smaller back in the day.
At the end of our tour, we got to visit some more neat spots like the jersey wall and the shoe wall. After we got to spin the kids club wheel and win some cool prizes (learn more about the kids club here & Jr kids club here) before going our separate ways to eat and enjoy the game with our families.
The Golden 1 Center is not only a state of the art arena but also a great place for families. Nursing options, changing tables, stroller station, and more various family options than I can count on my fingers and toes! I would totally recommend the Golden 1 Center for a night or day out with your family!
Ari can’t hang. Nap time halfway through the 3rd half. |
Thank you Golden 1 Center and the Sacramento Kings for having us and congratulations your win tonight! 🙂

I love the Golden One Center! So much better than the old Arco, too. It's nice to bring some new life into Sacramento; I hope it continues to thrive.
