In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m sharing 5 simple ways you can protect your peace & pour back into you.

1. Start your mornings with God – Pray, read a verse, or sit in silence & invite Him into your day.

2. Say “NO” without guilt – Protect your time, energy, and peace.

3. Get outside daily – Even a quick walk or sitting in the sun can shift your mood.

4. Talk to someone you trust—or write it down – If you don’t feel ready to open up to someone, grab a journal & let it out. Your feelings deserve space, either way. Me personally I talk to God.

5. Celebrate the small wins – You’re doing better than you think.

Showing up for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. Let’s normalize choosing rest, boundaries, & joy on purpose.

Hi friends!
Ever since we were born our very first meal as a baby was milk. From drinking it, to cooking with it, and everything in between rather we realize it or not milk has always had a very big impact on our daily lives. Today I’m happy share that I’ve teamed up with Milk Life to share my own story for the Love What’s Real campaign.

Love Whats Real campaign is a campaign that focuses on real-life moments. Moments that are special to us that in some shape or form that feature Milk. Real dairy milk has been at the center of a ton of things from family dinners to important milestones. Now thanks to recent studies there is proof that milk is part of some of the happiest moments in our lives. Not to mention it provides us with nutrients per cup that are difficult to find in other food or drinks. Milk has brought me so much joy in my own personal life too.

When I first became a mom to my oldest daughter Ivy I wasn’t sure about a lot of things. How to hold Ivy how to dress her, how to teach her basic stuff. But I did know one thing for sure. Which was no matter what way I decided to parent I wanted Ivy to grow up to be big and strong. Then I had my second daughter Aria and by then it was pretty evident that milk was my drink of choice for my girls. As both my girls began to grow milk was and still is our go-to drink. Sometimes with chocolate and even sometimes with strawberry. Which brings me to a delicious DIY strawberry milk recipe. This recipe is really fun and easy and doesn’t take very long either. what you’ll need is

-An 8-ounce glass of milk
-Honey
-Strawberries
&
-Water
Step 1. Wash 1 cup of strawberries & cut off the leafy top.
Step 2.  Add your strawberries, 1/2 cup of honey and 1 cup of water in and pot and let it lightly simmer for a little over 10 minutes.

Step 3. Smash all the ingredients into one another and let cool off. Once they’ve cooled off you can strain your pot.
Step 4. Add your finished product to your 8-ounce glass of milk, mix, and congrats! homemade strawberry milk for the entire family to enjoy.

Now it’s our turn! Time to share and participate in the Love What’s Real sweepstakes. Yep! From 1/22/19 to 2/28/19, you can post a photo on Instagram showcasing your “Love What’s Real” milk moment/ To be entered for a chance to win a year’s worth of free milk! (photo must include milk) and include the hashtags #LoveWhatsReal and #Sweepstakes.
