Hi guys!
We are a Disney family. Nothing to overly obsessed or crazy but we love watching Disney movies together and buying all the fun Disney products. We are no strangers to Disney on Ice, in February 2014 we attended the show for the first time together as a family of four for Valentine’s day, it was amazing. My mother in law and I then took the girls and my niece again last year (read about it here). Although we had been to Disney On Ice before we had never been to a show like this one.
My family and I were not only invited to attend a show we were also invited to a private meet and greet before the show started! Dressed in our Disney wear we headed down to Golden One Center around 5:00 PM where we meet other bloggers and creep through the media entrance underground. It was totally cool my husband said he felt like VIP. Once inside a lounge area, the kids were able to decorate Mickey snapped cookies and color. After it was mouse time! Surprise! The kids were able to meet Micky and Minnie Mouse! Ivy was so excited, while Aria was a little nervous. This was one of the highlights of the night for sure.
Once everyone had met Mickey and Minnie we grabbed food and souvenirs. The souvenirs range from around $5.00-$35.00. Ivy got a light up toy, Aria opted for a stuffed animal and I got cotton candy with a princess crown, hey moms can have fun too. After finding our seats the show started the girls were so excited! The lights were bright, the music was loud and it was showtime!
Introducing the show to the crowd were Mickey, Minnie, and friends. The show started off with the story of Finding Dory, might I say the way the characters pretend to swim around on ice skates was very impressive. Next was Beauty and the Beast loved the songs and fast outfit changes. After this, each Disney princess came out with her prince and sang a short song from their movie. The characters from the girls favorite Disney movie Frozen, everything from the fireworks, snow, and castle was pretty awesome. Ivy and Aria literally sang out loud it was so precious. The show took about a 10-minute break before it came back with fun snippets of Aladdin, Toy Story, Mulan, and the Lion King. The show ended with.. well actually I won’t tell you how it ended you’ll just have to pick up tickets and check that out for yourselves 😉
The entire show was amazing. It warmed my heart on the way home when Ivy said out “my favorite part was when Minnie Mouse said I love you to us.” This is something the girls will surely remember! Encouraging them to be themselves and celebrate the magic within them always.
Oh your girls are so cute.. looks like they had a wonderful time.
