In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m sharing 5 simple ways you can protect your peace & pour back into you.

1. Start your mornings with God – Pray, read a verse, or sit in silence & invite Him into your day.

2. Say ā€œNOā€ without guilt – Protect your time, energy, and peace.

3. Get outside daily – Even a quick walk or sitting in the sun can shift your mood.

4. Talk to someone you trust—or write it down – If you don’t feel ready to open up to someone, grab a journal & let it out. Your feelings deserve space, either way. Me personally I talk to God.

5. Celebrate the small wins – You’re doing better than you think.

Showing up for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. Let’s normalize choosing rest, boundaries, & joy on purpose.

Our 6th family trip to Apple Hill.

October 17, 2018      Porsha Carr

Hi guys!
This past weekend was a weekend to remember. It was my family’s 6th trip to Apple Hill! Apple Hill is basically a giant hill with a bunch of different farms, ranches, gardens, wineries stores and more. It’s always a good time. And for the 6th time in a row, it did not disappoint.

Dayjhan and I took our first trip to apple hill when I was pregnant with Ivy in 2013. Initially, it was never something that we planned on being a tradition but I am glad it turned out to be. Since then we have been every single year. And every single year our trip grows with family members. Cousins, nieces, everyone loves coming. We always go in the fall when the apples are their yummiest, the weather is perfectly crisp and the pumpkins are ready to be taken home. I look forward to our trip and of course taking a bunch of family photos for memories.

This year we went in early October, last year we had gone in late September so it was nice to switch things up. The ride is about an hour long and the kids usually nap. Ivy refused her nap this year which was okay because she sat really quite in the back and just looked out the window. Aria napped the whole time which as nice too. This year we had, two out of four of my nieces, my niece’s friend, my best friend Tonisha and her niece too.

When we got there the first thing we did was jump right in line for the kids to get their faces painted. There was a really nice woman dressed as a fairy painting all the little ones faces. While we did wait in line for a while you can’t beat her customer service or prices. She was really sweet and the girl’s painting were only $5 each. Plus she was really fast and made the girls happy.
Once their faces were done it was time to go to eat because we were starving. Face paintings make you hungry ya know? šŸ˜‰

We headed into the pie house were we ordered chill cheese fries, regular fries and grilled cheese. It was really tasty, pretty sure we swallowed it whole in less than a few minutes. We also had an amazing dutch apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top. After eating we walked through the small shops. One of the things I love the most about apple hill is there are a ton of small family owned shops.

They sell handmade items and everything is unique. While we walked through those we did not buy anything this year. However, I was really infatuated with some Hocus Pocus tea I saw. If you know me you’d know I am a huge fan of Hocus Pocus. Maybe I’ll go back and try some next year you never know. We then headed over to the candy store where we all loaded up on candy apples. Can you say camel overdose? But seriously best candy apples ever. We also snagged some other sugary goodies too, like my Australian licorice.

We spent a lot of time on this ranch but then it was time to head on over to the pumpkin patch. I think we spent about an hour there letting the kids run around, taking pictures, play and looking for the perfect pumpkin. We ended up with 3 pumpkins, 2 small ones for the girls to paint and 1 big one for Dayjhan to carve. Apple Hill was a lot of fun this year. I can’t wait to go back.

Until next year Apple Hill…

Hello, I won't appreciate you and your work and congratulate on your success. You are the winner. Your travel blog is very beautiful. I want to learn more from you so please post more details and give me the opportunity to thank you. I will be very grateful to you. THAILAND IS AMONG the most talked-about destinations on the planet, though what people have to say varies dramatically. Some travelers come home claiming to have found themselves on long, white-gold beaches; others turn up their noses at the Thai islands, claiming they’ve been overrun by backpackers. Still others rave about the diving, mountain scenery, and world-class cuisine — it just depends where you go. Whether your interests align more with nature or culture, early mornings or late nights, the Land of Smiles has something for every type of traveler. From dazzling coastal resorts to bustling interior cities to quiet spots up north, these are the top places to visit, or discover, in Thailand.https://catmotors.net/routes/doi-inthanon-national-park/ Khao Sok National Park in southern Thailand hosts one of the world’s oldest rainforests, said to predate even the Amazon. The park’s impressive biodiversity is heavy on hefty land mammals like elephants, boars, bear species, tapirs, monkeys, and marbled cats, whose habitats weave between thick tree canopies and lush jungle, punctuated by karst mountains and the stunning Cheow Lan Lake at the heart of the park. Unplug on a four-day rainforest safari, three-day jungle lake safari, or two-day jungle safari for activities like hiking, canoeing, and bird-watching alongside cultural perks like dance performances and cooking demos in the evening.https://catmotors.net/routes/pai/

Thanks for sharing it.if you’re in Bangkok with a free day, the 2.5-hour trip to the extremely popular motorbike rental in Chiang Mai is a great trip.
