3 sensory play activities (featuring Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish).

Have you ever thought about your toddlers and how sensory play effects the way they grow? I have thought about it a bunch lately. Especially with summer break and Ivy being out of school. I still want her to be able to continue learning and get those senses flowing. As you know sensory play is any activity that requires using the 5 senses. Which are taste, touch, smell, hearing and sight. Today’s blog is all about toddler sensory play and I am giving you all 3 sensory play activities featuring Jakks Pacific Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish.

Jakks Pacific is a neat toy company that creates toys for boys and girls of all ages. Jakks Pacific toys may look familiar to you because they are sold in many major retail stores. They are also sold online in stores like Amazon. Jakks Pacific has many toys, like  princess dresses for girls and play cars for boys. With so many toys to pick from your little ones will be sure to be occupied.

For review my girls were lucky enough to receive a bunch of fun toys from Jakks Pacific. They received a Disney princess dress up trunk, a Moana jewelry box, Jiggly Doos and Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish! Speaking of Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish let’s get started with our three activities.

1. Touching/Squeezing: Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish are slow rising squishy toys that are super fun for little ones to squeeze. They are a bigger and brighter version of the smaller, harder Shopkins. Because they are so big they are safe for little’s. By being able to squeeze these toys little ones are using their sense of touch.





2. Tossing/Throwing:  Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish toys are extremely soft. So tossing/throwing them in the air makes for a great sensory game. By doing this little ones are using their sense of sight to track and catch the Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish.

3. Hearing/Sound: Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish toys doesn’t make any sounds. But they do come inside baggies, that your littles can rip open. The baggies make a crunching sound on it’s own. Opening their Shopkins Squish-Dee-Lish they are using their sense of hearing. Plus if your little’s are like mine then they made their squishes walk around on the table and talk to each other which makes more sounds.

That’s so cool how toys can be used for not only playing but learning too right!
