Sunday fun-day with the Sacramento River Cats.

Hi guys!

Take me out to the ball game! take me out to the crowd! buy me some peanuts & cracker jacks!
I don’t care if I never get back. Let me root, root, root for the River Cats! if they don’t win it’s a shame. For it’s 1, 2, 3 strikes your out at the olddddddd balllll gameeeeee!! Did you guys just sing that or read it? Nevertheless, you can tell how excited my family and I we’re for the River Cats game?

The River Cats are Sacramento’s very own minor league baseball team. The River Cats have been playing in Sacramento since the year 2000. They play at Raley Field located in West Sacramento. They play in the Pacific Coast league and they are the affiliate of one of the greatest teams ever the San Francisco Giants. The River Cats season just got underway only two weeks ago. My family and I were lucky enough to be able to receive some tickets for their game on April 29! This was a pretty cool. To be able to attend a game, because every Sunday the River Cats do K-Love Sunday Funday. On K-Love Sunday Fundays the kids run bases, there is face painting and the players even sign autographs! Pretty neat right?

Sunday came so we packed our girls up in the car and headed off to Raley Field. Parking is usually $10 for each game. But the River Cats have a cool carpool program with Lasher Auto Group. You can find out more about that here. For this, if you come to the game with 4 or more people inside of your car you can receive free parking! Pretty neat uh? After we parked we took the girls out the car they we’re asleep and very heavy. One of the men working there saw us and offered to give us a ride to the front of the stadium in his cart. So sweet of him, I instantly knew it would be a good day.

Once we got to the front we picked up our complimentary tickets at the will call box. From there we found our seats and got comfy. My husband was trying to teach the girls about the game giving them some points and tips on what was going on. While I snapped a bunch of photos and enjoined the music, they had really good music. My husband also snapped a bunch of the photos of the players on the field you see in this blog post.

Half way into the game we purchased some BBQ and shaved ice for the girls. Everything was yummy and the weather was awesome for a game. The River Cats ended up taking the win home too!

This entire day was so much fun. I love being able to experience outings together with my little family. I love the River Cats so much for making this happen. If you’re looking for something to do as a family especially on Sundays head out to a River Cats game.

    I brought my son to a local minor league baseball game recently too. He did so much better than I expected! It's a very family friendly activity. Looks like you guys had a great time!
