In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m sharing 5 simple ways you can protect your peace & pour back into you.

1. Start your mornings with God – Pray, read a verse, or sit in silence & invite Him into your day.

2. Say ā€œNOā€ without guilt – Protect your time, energy, and peace.

3. Get outside daily – Even a quick walk or sitting in the sun can shift your mood.

4. Talk to someone you trust—or write it down – If you don’t feel ready to open up to someone, grab a journal & let it out. Your feelings deserve space, either way. Me personally I talk to God.

5. Celebrate the small wins – You’re doing better than you think.

Showing up for yourself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. Let’s normalize choosing rest, boundaries, & joy on purpose.

Dinner time with Constructive Eating.

May 2, 2018      Porsha Carr

Hi guys!
We all know the classic movie “A Christmas Story” right? It’s literally the best Christmas app movie of all time, and yes I am totally aware that it is May and not December. But I bring this movie up because there was one scene in my mind that really stood out. Do you all remember the meatloaf scene? “MeatloafĀ Smeatloaf Double Beatloaf. I hate meatloaf!” Where little Randy ParkerĀ wouldn’tĀ eat his meatloaf. Then his mom had to result inĀ pretendingĀ like he was a little piggy to feed him? Ha, soundĀ familiar? How many times have we all had to trick our little ones into eating? resulting in using the fork as a choo-choo train or the spoon as an airplane? Whatever it is that you do to get your little ones to eat you can now stop thanks toĀ Constructive Eating.

Ā
Constructive Eating is a really cool brand that makes eating a good time for your little’s with the combination of construction. Inspired by one of the founder’s love for construction equipment at a young age Constructive Eating was just a dream. Later down the road Carter and Jackie Malcolm deiced to make that dream a reality andĀ Constructive Eating was created. The business is family owned and family grown. While all products are lead, Phthalates, PVC, BPA, & Paint free. They are made with love and care and in the USA. Constructive Eating sells an abundant amount of products such as plates, utensils, placemats, shirts and more. Their products are very neat because they are made to look like they are real-life construction items.
For review, Ivy and Aria received t-shirts, garden plates and a set of three utensils in the mail. The plates were so awesome I did not even want the girls to eat off them. They couldn’t wait! They loved the pink and green designs. So I put them in their construction shirts and let them go to work. Having chicken pasta for dinner, the girls were very eager to use their utensils. They plowed through their pasta with their garden rake forks, up and around the plate. The scoped up their chicken with their garden shovels. Anything that was left over on the plate was moved to the side with their hoe pusher.
It was dinner, but it was fun. I like the fact that I did not have to bribe them to eat or even finish for that matter. It took a lot of stress of me, which was great. They really engaged in dinner time. The set was also extremely easy to wash and did not stain even though they had pasta.
So as generous as theĀ Constructive Eating team is they are letting me host a giveaway and guess what I am giving away a utensilsĀ set to your son/daughter here’s how:

What a cute idea. Amaya is a decent eater but keeping her engaged is the trouble. I think she would love this as much as your girls did.
