A few weeks ago (on my birthday to be exact) Ivy had her first parent teacher conference. Yes! they do parent teacher conferences in pre school. I know right I was shocked myself. Anyways Ivy’s teacher had nothing but great things to say about my Ivy.

improve on and that was the way she holds her pencil. Ivy tends to hold the top part of her pencil close to the eraser, therefore when she writes it comes out a little funky. So Ivy’s teacher suggested that I look into these cool little things called Crayon Rocks.
Crayon Rocks are these tiny rocks that are actually color crayons. They are non-toxic and made perfect for small hands (with supervision) so it gives the toddler no choice but to grip with their thumb while using them. Repetition, that then allows the toddler to develop the correct way to hold a pencil and tune their fine motor skills.
